Chapter 8: Channel Adaptation
A good campaign does not simply get resized for each platform. It is translated into the language of each channel while keeping the brand intact.
Channel differences to respect
- Short-form video: fast hooks, clear payoff, native pacing.
- Paid social: visual clarity, immediate message, strong first frame.
- CTV or long-form video: more room for story, pacing, and mood.
- Display: high contrast, minimal copy, fast recognition.
- OOH: simple structure, bold visuals, near-instant comprehension.
- Email or landing pages: message continuity and conversion clarity.
Adaptation questions
- What does this channel reward?
- What does this audience expect here?
- Which parts of the brand must stay constant?
- Which parts should flex for fit?
Important principle
Do not force the same creative behavior onto every channel. Keep the brand consistent, not the format identical.
