Chapter 8: Channel Adaptation

A good campaign does not simply get resized for each platform. It is translated into the language of each channel while keeping the brand intact.

Channel differences to respect

  • Short-form video: fast hooks, clear payoff, native pacing.
  • Paid social: visual clarity, immediate message, strong first frame.
  • CTV or long-form video: more room for story, pacing, and mood.
  • Display: high contrast, minimal copy, fast recognition.
  • OOH: simple structure, bold visuals, near-instant comprehension.
  • Email or landing pages: message continuity and conversion clarity.

Adaptation questions

  • What does this channel reward?
  • What does this audience expect here?
  • Which parts of the brand must stay constant?
  • Which parts should flex for fit?

Important principle

Do not force the same creative behavior onto every channel. Keep the brand consistent, not the format identical.
